APOLLO VICTORIA

Built initially as a grand cinema with Art Deco design and the name the New Victoria Cinema in 1930. It closed as a cinema in the mid-seventies, reopening in 1981 as the Apollo Victoria to distinguish it from the more famous Apollo Shaftsbury Avenue. The longest-running show was Starlight Express the roller skate extravaganza by Andrew Lloyd Webber that lasted for almost twenty years. And played 7,406 performances.
